| Drag Races at the airport |
Drag Races were held at the Swift Current Airport in the Summer of 2006. They were so well attended that plans are afoot to do it all over again in coming years. Watch for smoke from the tires. |
| Nanton Trip |
Some adventurers from the club travelled to Nanton Alberta to the Lancaster Museum for a look at some of the many aircraft on display. |
| Central America Trip |
The intrepid adventurers who flew down to Panama and points south gave us a talk on their adventures. And adventures there were. All made it back save and sound. We are all very jealous. |

Spring Fly-In Breakfast |
Another fine breakfast put on by the happy volunteers. Good weather and a great turnout. |

| EAA Day |
EAA in Regina sponsored a tour day to see various projects in progress around Regina. Don and Jeff tagged along and saw some impressive sights. Of special note was the "mushroom farm" at Lumsden, a Quonset full of antique cars and memorabilia, including a restored Gypsy Moth with folding wings. We toured "Parr international" north of Regina to see metal work in progress, snooped into some garages to see RV's being built, and finished off with a Sonex and Glasair in White City. A very fun day. |
| New Visitors |
During the club meeting in August, we were surprised by the appearance of a biplane landing for fuel. It turned out to be old friends of one of the club members. Dr. Jill Oakes and Dr. Rick Riewe, professors from the University of Manitoba, were in transit from Calgary to Winnipeg in their Acrosport homebuilt. Jill is a long time pilot, and has worked on this aircraft on and off for over 20 years ( with things like marrying Rick and doing a Ph.D getting in the way), completing it last year. She is president of the Winnipeg Chapter of the RAA. |

| Williston Trip |
The club flew to Williston North Dakota as a workshop in crossing the US Border. Flight down and back enjoyed good weather. Customs officials lectured the club on the do's and don'ts of crossing the border, flight plans, customs inspections and lots more. |
| 100th Anniversary of Flight Celebration |
The club hosted a celebration at the airport on December 17/03 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of flight. We all flew around the city and treated the new mayor of Swift Current to a gyro ride. Way to go Larry, she should recover soon. Members of the Regina Flying Club were in attendance as well. Wine and cheese ended a fun celebration. All in the memory of Wilbur and Orville, and a few magic seconds a hundred years ago. |
